Luscious Lips: MAC

Having gorgeous, luscious lips seems to something everyone is searching for lately. People like Kylie Jenner, for example, are one of the biggest influences on lips at the moment. Some may say she's had botox but I believe it's just a great makeup job and an Instagram filter (fake it till you make it, right?). Another woman who has always had her lips in the spotlight is Angelina Jolie, who we can't deny has uh-mazing lips.
Thousands, maybe even millions of women are searching for the perfect product to match their lips to the A-Listers'. Endless lipsticks and glosses, lip liners and plumpers (no thankyou - ouch), all to be left still feeling like your lips aren't as glossy as theirs.
I remember my mum using MAC when I was a little girl, and ever since, it's the only brand I've ever seemed to use myself (thanks mum). With the ultimate range of colours and textures, it makes it even harder to pick which colours I'm using. Lately, I've been into the lighter, pinker colours for the Summer. I'm personally not one for a deep purple or bright orange lip. I have discovered 3 colours in particular I use the most - either Lustre Jubilee Lipstick or Lustre Lovelorn Lipstick, with a final gloss of the Creamsheen Glass Fashion Scoop Lipgloss.Keep in mind, on the website these colours seem to look a little different to what they look like in person - just a hazard for buying makeup online!
Jubilee is more of a nude colour. I wear this one when I don't want too much of a statement lip. One of the reasons I adore it so much is because it goes with practically everything in my wardrobe and when I'm unsure about what colour lip to wear, it always seems to be at my rescue. Because it's part of the Lustre range, it has a real creaminess to it as well as a little bit of shine, which makes my lips look ridiculously luscious and rich. I love to finish my lips off with Fashion Scoop Lipgloss to give it that one final shine, as well as giving it more of a pinky tinge.

Lovelorn is my go to pink colour. It's a candy pink without being too bright. I usually wear this one if I feel like making a statement with my lips. I personally enjoy this colour if I'm wearing navy or white - there's something about the pink with both of those colours that goes incredibly well together and I just love the look of it. Lovelorn is also part of the Lustre range which again, gives it the creamy look. With Lovelorn also, I finish my lips off with a gloss of the Fashion Scoop Lipgloss to give it a shine. It also seems to tone down the brightness of the colour and make it look a little more creamy (if you haven't already realised, I love creamy lips).

Out of every lipgloss I've ever used, this has got to be my all time favourite. I wear this gloss over practically every lipstick, as well as alone on a bare lip. It has the perfect pinkiness to it, as well as being creamy and glossy with a hint of sparkle all at the same time. It's one of those lipglosses that you can wear and it won't be too obvious, but your lips will still look gorgeous.

Amongst all of this lip love, all of the MAC lip products make my lips feel super smooth and juicy. It stays on for hours and even once it's all worn off, my lips still feel so loved. When it comes to my lips, MAC is my one and only.
P.S. Tell me. Who's your lip inspiration?
