Small Treasures Holiday Edition: Stocking Stuffers

The holiday season is upon us and it's that time: sales everywhere, shopping malls are mayhem and everything seems to be covered in tinsel. If I'm being completely honest, I am the ultimate Grinch at Christmas time. I come from a big (cannot emphasise that enough) Italian family and it's a regular occasion for us to get together and have a meal. Plus, if I want something, I usually can't stop myself from just buying it then and there (that's not a bad thing... right?), so Christmas, I'm just not that into you. But for those of you who get right into the holiday spirit, this one's for you!
We've all been there; you have to buy a present for someone but you don't know what to get them. "What do they like?", "Do they already have this?", and the most common one... "I don't want to spend too much!". Finding a gift that someone likes and will actually enjoy and not regift, as well as trying not to break the bank can be a challenge many are faced with. But over time I have found uh-mazing gifts (if I say so myself) that don't leave you penniless as well as legitimately being really fab gifts. I always think when buying a gift for someone that if I were to receive this gift, how would I feel? And I'm super particular, but even I adore these gifts! These perfect little presents are fool proof.
I don't always find what I'm looking for in Mimco, but when I do, I do. Owning quite a bit of Mimco myself, I feel as though there are two things that can never do you wrong - Earrings and Pouches. I would never personally gift someone earrings unless I knew they wanted them, because there are so many different kinds and it's too much of a risk. That is why I have settled with gifting Pouches. After receiving one myself, I realised it's plain and simple genius. I use mine all the time, whether it's in my handbag or on its own, and you can put whatever you want in it. Mine usually has my lipsticks and mirror. And even better, they come in all different colours, styles and fabrics. It is one of those gifts that you wouldn't usually buy yourself, but once you receive it, you wonder where it has been all your life. Any woman receiving this gift will find a way to use it.

As seen in one of my previous blogs Luckiest of Lavenders: Summer Nails!, I love OPI nail polish. OPI has many ranges and for the holiday season they bring out a Top Ten gift set collection, filled with ten 3.75ml bottles of ten different colours (convenient, right?). I have receieved many of these gift packs and I'm never disappointed. Choosing which colours to buy someone might be a challenge but that's the beauty of the Top Ten collection - the colours range from lighter shades to darker ones which means you can't go wrong.

Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are probably the most simple but effective present to buy someone. You have a lot of movement with vouchers - you can buy them for countless brands and even shopping malls sell vouchers which can be used at many of their stores. If you know someone likes a brand in particular, buy them a voucher for that. Vouchers are the go-to gift when you want to say "Merry Christmas" without saying "I didn't know what to get you so I bought you this even though you are probably going to return it". One of my all-time favourite brands, Michael Kors, do online gift cards which I find unbelievably clever. It's safe to say, gift cards are my favourite stocking stuffer.

I hope your Christmas shopping was just made a little easier, as well as your wish list a little longer.
