Sophia's Style: Little Black Dress

This morning when I woke up, I realised that today was going to be yet another hot day (gross). If I'm being honest, I'm seriously suffering in the Australian Summer. At nearly 40 degrees celsius, all I want is to be drinking icy cold iced tea (peach flavour, duh) and laying on the cold leather couch.

Going out is definitely a challenge, because I obviously cannot leave the house without making sure I look uber fab (if I say so myself), but the heat makes that a little difficult. I much prefer the winter time as well as winter fashion, but living in Australia, it never really gets as cold as I would like it to. So, I have to find a way to work with what I have, and still look uber fab, even in the Summer.

Whether it be shopping or going for brunch (like I did this morning) the Jersey Pleat Midi Dress from Witchery is one of the most comfortable dresses I have ever worn. It's flowy and light and still looks mega chic. Whether it be worn with a small heel to dress it up a little, or with a pair of jelly flats like I wore it today, this dress is that perfect little black dress to have in your wardrobe.

I paired this dress with Nina Jelly Sandals from Country Road, which featured in a previous blog post Happiest of Holidays, as well as my Michael Kors Tan Hamilton Satchel.

In the process of writing this blog, I've realised that this is one of my new favourite outfits. It makes the Summer time that much more bearable.
