Where do I begin!? After 3 long, eventful months I'm finally back behind the computer screen for all the right reasons. For the first time in a long time, I'm writing this blog instead of an essay. Studying, assignments and everything educational has completely and utterly consumed my life and all the time I have. Although, after a dreamy 3 week break, I'm back to talk about all the life-changing fashion experiences (not even kidding) I've had during the time I haven't been blogging.

Side note before I begin: to be back blogging and writing brings so much happiness to my heart and I hope you've missed me like I've missed writing this blog! Ok... that's enough sappiness for a life time.

During the 10 weeks of my head in the books, there wasn't much time left for shopping, which turned out to be for the better. All the shopping I didn't do in Australia, I made up for on my 3 week break to the USA. To be honest, I hardly did any shopping when I was on holidays, apart from the occasional purchase from a few random stores. The only other shopping I did was in my favourite place on earth: Michael Kors in New York *queue dramatic music*.

Before I talk about MK, yet again, let's first discuss USA. I had the time of my life in Canada, Vegas and Mexico but most importantly, I lived the ultimate dream in New York: my city. (I can hear 'Welcome to New York' by T Swizzle in my head right now). I of course, on my second trip to the concrete jungle, did all the touristy things, such as sitting on a roofless bus hearing about all the history in New York, catching the Staten Island Ferry, walking the Brooklyn Bridge and of course, visiting all the Gossip Girl sites (even sometimes pretending I was Blair, walking the streets). New York, my favourite city in the entire universe, and it holds my heart. Like nothing you could ever experience anywhere else and the buzz and the adrenaline it gives you can't be put into words. Basically, I love New York with all my heart.

Now, my Michael Kors experience was truly and utterly one of the most influential days of my whole fashion life and every chance I get, I'm reliving the moment as if I'm there again, by telling everyone around me about the experience. This is where it gets corny. Brace yourselves.

Michael Kors in Soho is the flagship store of the world and my dream was to one day be able to say I stepped on the floors and searched the racks and maybe, just maybe, opened my wallet and swapped some money for that pretty gold shopping bag filled with pretty clothes and pretty bags. So, one day when I was in New York, that is exactly what I did.

As soon as I stepped inside I knew this place was what I had been looking for all my life. Racks and shelves and tables and everything you could imagine, filled with all the MK you could only ever think up in your mind. Of course, I started searching for items as soon as I entered. Just when I thought this day could not get any more dreamy, I see a MK employee walking towards me, who tells me she likes my eyebrows. Now... If you know me, you know that I appreciate that compliment more than a person probably should. I knew as soon as this amazing girl, Allie, expressed that to me, that this experience was going to be a good one. Before I ramble too much, I'm going to get to the point. An hour and a half later... after rack searching, countless outfit changes, opinions from my panel of judges on my outfits (my family, Allie - who I adore - and the other MK workers), and decision making that felt like it lasted a life time, I had my moment at the counter, and receieved my extra large (yes, extra large) gold shopping bag filled with goodies. As I walked out of the store I knew that this wasn't going to be the last time I shopped here, but it was always going to be my favourite.

You might be wondering what precious items I purchased too, but I'm going to be a tease and save that for the next few blog posts.

I've missed this blog! And I know I must find time to blog, even during all the craziness of all the things that come with getting an education. Keep your eyes open for my upcoming posts.

Tell me. Where is your favourite place in the world and why? Don't forget to like, follow and share on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
